I Felt Young Again with My Husband Tonight

My husband and I have been married for over two decades now. Life has its ups and downs, but overall we're happy together. Last night though, we pushed some boundaries that surprised us both. We decided to role-play a college-age relationship, which brought back so many pent-up desires from our youth. He's in his early forties like me, but for a few hours, he was the guy I used to flirt with at parties and I was the adventurous girl who'd always gone home alone. It felt liberating to be that young and carefree again. The intensity of those fleeting moments reignited something long dormant between us. And even though it's probably never happening again, tonight made me realize we still have the power to surprise each other as adults in a marriage. I'll take that risk any day.
