little white lie

i told my friend i went home early from work to rest last wednesday. really i stayed late and ended up hooking up with someone i met that night at the bar. it wasn't anything serious or meaningful but i felt like i was lying to her about something bigger than it actually was. now every time we talk, im waiting for the moment she calls me out on the lie. it's this constant nagging feeling in my stomach.
