Lost In The Aftermath

Since getting divorced, there are moments when I forget everything and am back with my ex. It's like living in the past, missing them deeply even though I know I should be focusing on moving forward. Today, while going through old photos, an image of us laughing caught me off guard. The smile faded as reality set in again. It’s hard to reconcile loving someone who isn’t there anymore and finding joy elsewhere.
