New Beginnings

Well, I've been feeling pretty good lately, you know? Not sure if it's just because of all this fresh air and the independence that comes with being single again. It was hard to leave behind everything back at Fort [military base], but honestly, I'm glad I did. The divorce wasn't easy on either of us, but sometimes you have to start over. So, here's something new for me, I've been chatting up a storm online with someone who gets it. Military life, the loneliness that comes with moving around so much, and just the feeling of not quite fitting in anywhere. We talked about everything from our favorite movies to how we'd love to redecorate this place if only money wasn't an issue. Anyway, last week was a bit crazy, I mean, I went out on a date or two, but really nothing too serious. Then things got interesting over the weekend when we decided to take it further. It wasn't exactly how you might imagine, more like exploring what works for both of us and finding comfort in being so different from who we were before. We met up at this cozy little hotel by the beach, and I have to admit, there was something special about seeing him outside our chat bubbles. It felt like a new beginning or maybe even a return to old times when everything seemed simpler and more carefree. We didn't need words for much of it, we just sort of knew what each other needed. So here's the thing, I don't know where this is going, but I'm okay with that right now. Being single again has given me space to feel my feelings without worrying about pleasing anyone else first. It’s a bit overwhelming and freeing at the same time. There are no expectations or demands between us; just a sense of rediscovering what it means to be alive. I guess that's all for now, just wanted to share how things have been going since this fresh start. Life is so much more colorful without those old constraints, isn't it?
