Lost In The Moment

I'm a nurse, mid-thirties, recently split from my longtime partner. Wasn't looking to get involved again but there he was... this patient, young and hurt so badly it broke my heart. Saw him daily for weeks until he recovered. One night, we were alone in the hallway after his discharge, kissed. Slept together then. It felt real in that moment, like a way to heal us both. But now? I'm not sure if this was just me trying to hold on or something more. Advice?
