It's Complicated at Home

So, I'm this stay-at-home parent thing now, taking care of the kids and keeping the house running. Yeah, it sounds pretty normal from the outside, but there’s this whole other side that only me and my partner know about. We’re in an open relationship, which means I get to explore with others without feeling guilty or like a cheater. It's complicated because on one hand, there are nights when I come home exhausted, the kids just went to bed, and all I want is cuddles and some quiet time together. On the other hand, my partner is supportive of me meeting up with someone else that night, even if it’s not their fantasy or interest. Last week, after a long day, I decided to skip out on our usual movie night for something more adventurous with another person. It felt both liberating and strange all at once, like I was playing by two sets of rules. Now the tricky part is balancing that freedom with being there emotionally and physically for my partner too.
