The Forgotten Laundry

Yesterday I had a date that didn’t go well at all. It ended early, so I called it a night to head home. On the way in, I ran into one of the neighbors who also has small kids. She offered to let me borrow some laundry detergent since we were both about out and she remembered seeing mine in her recycling bin before. So much for not borrowing trouble from tomorrow! Of course, now that my date is over I really don’t feel like going back to his place. But somehow I can't bring myself to tell him the truth. My neighbor wouldn’t care, but lying to someone feels so wrong, it’s just detergent after all.
