That One Time We Got Carried Away

So, you know when I was at my cousin's wedding last month and all sorts of chaos ensued? Well, let me tell you about it. It started so innocently enough, just hanging out with the newlyweds and celebrating, but as the night went on, things got a little wilder. And by that, I mean really wild. Anyway, my fiancé and I had been drinking quite a bit, dancing like there was no tomorrow, and it was just so fun to let go. The music was pumping, people were laughing and having a great time. We decided to step outside for some fresh air since the dance floor was packed and hot as hell inside. Outside in the cool night air, things started getting... romantic. There we were, under the moonlight, with nothing but stars watching over us. I mean, it's one thing dancing at a wedding and losing yourself in the music, but being outside with just my fiancé, well, that was something else entirely. It escalated quickly from there, whispering sweet nothings to each other, getting closer, touching more than usual for an engaged couple right out in the open. It felt like everyone else had disappeared and it was just us in this perfect moment. And then, we ended up in a secluded corner of the yard, hidden by trees... I know it sounds crazy to think about something like that happening at a wedding, but there's just something so romantic about being able to be yourself when you're supposed to be on your best behavior. We both knew what was coming and I had to admit, I wasn't going to stop him. It felt right. The next morning as we walked back into the real world with a hangover, there was this weird mix of shame for acting out like that and relief at how incredibly spontaneous it was. But also pride in just being so free, letting go of all pretenses and expectations. So much for wedding guest decorum! And you know what? I wouldn't change that night for anything.
