Weekday Dreams

My ex left last week after ten years of marriage, and it's been hard keeping up with work when everything feels so surreal. So today during lunch break, while everyone was at their desks, I went out for a quick drink alone. It’s silly, but having that beer felt like a little rebellion against the mundanity of this breakup week. Here I am drinking on weekdays, and I actually kinda liked it.
