Caught Looking During Lesson Plans
Anonymous Thirsty Beast #357 · General
I’m a high school teacher and I’ve been dating someone casually for about two months now. It’s never gone further than cuddling and maybe some light kissing, but every time we get close, my mind wanders to other possibilities. Recently, during one of our dates, while looking over lesson plans at his place, I couldn’t help but notice how he was looking back. His eyes were on me in a way that made it clear what he wanted, more than just talking about homework and sharing stories from the day. The problem is, as much as I want to explore more with him, there’s something holding me back. It feels wrong somehow, this mix of professional boundaries and my personal desires outside the classroom. I can’t shake off the thought of what it would feel like if we crossed that line. What if one night after a date, it just happens? Is it ever okay to let your guard down with someone who’s connected to you in such an intense way, even if everything feels consensual and right? I’m torn between my professional ethics and the very real attraction we share. What do you think, am I being unreasonable to have these thoughts, or is this just a normal part of dating someone from within your community?
