That One Time at the Bar...

It's been weeks now but I still can't stop thinking about it. A few nights back, a new customer came in looking all dressed up, probably for a dinner date somewhere fancy. She was pretty and seemed to have that kind of confidence that attracts people... and yeah, let's be honest, she caught my eye too. She asked me for the usual - wine spritzers or something like that - and then we got chatting. Nothing super deep, just small talk, but I could tell there was some kind of chemistry building between us. By her third drink, she was giggling a lot more than before and suddenly... well, let's just say it went from drinks to a whole other level. I mean, I'm not one to brag or anything, but let's just say she seemed pretty into me. We ended up in the back office behind the bar... things got heated very quickly, almost too fast for my taste usually, but there was something about her that made it hard to resist. The way she touched me, whispered naughty things... I hadn't felt this connected with someone in a long time. I know now isn't the right time or place for that kind of thing and I'm definitely not looking for anything serious, so we both agreed to just leave things there. But here's where it gets messy - she asked me if I'd like to keep seeing each other outside work. My heart raced thinking about what an incredibly bad idea this could be but at the same time... how can you turn down someone who makes you feel so alive? We're both adults and know all too well that starting something behind a bar is never going to end well. So yeah, I still haven't responded and every time she comes in now I just freeze up. It's like we both want more but also know it can only lead to pain... or do we?...
