The Lonely Afternoon Fling

I work from home and haven't really found anyone special yet. Today was just another day of staring at my computer screen until a guy slid into my DMs while I was browsing some random dating app. We chatted for a bit, and he seemed pretty down to earth compared to the usual nonsense online. He mentioned he lived nearby and suggested meeting up for a quickie since we both admitted to being bored and curious. It turned out to be one of those moments that felt like it could have been better than just 'quick', but alas, our chemistry didn't quite click beyond that initial spark of mutual attraction. We found a cheap motel near my place and went in there to... you know. But as much as I tried to enjoy myself by focusing on the sensations, his body pressing against mine, my fingers gripping him firmly, feeling the warmth and wetness inside me as he thrust deeply, it all felt hollow somehow. I couldn't help but feel a bit sad afterwards; alone in this big city with nothing more than the digital imprint of someone I'll probably never see again. But maybe that's just part of my solitary routine now.
