Just Another Failed Hookup Attempt

So I tried my hand at dating apps again last night, thinking it was time for some action. Got into this conversation with someone who seemed vaguely interesting, not that anyone ever is in real life anyway. Anyway, we meet up at a bar, and it's all small talk until I try to bring things down to earth by asking if she wants to head somewhere quieter later on. Her response? 'Oh, no thanks, just wanted to chat for a bit.' Cue awkward eye contact and the most soul-crushing silence ever. Ended up leaving early to go home alone, just like always. On the bright side, at least I don't have any hang-ups about my lack of social skills this morning. Oh wait, that's not really true, is it?
