when i lost myself

i was at a conference out of town and staying at this really swanky hotel. my partner and i had been talking about exploring something new in our relationship but nothing ever came of it until one night. the room service guy brought up some wine we ordered and there he was, so young and handsome. the look between us said everything. my partner was away for a work trip, just me alone. it happened so fast, the rush of kissing him, tasting his skin, feeling his hands on me like i was melting into a puddle. we stopped before things got too far but afterwards i felt this weird buzz, out of control yet so in control at the same time. does anyone else ever have one night stands when their partner is away? am i crazy for wanting it?
