A Small Lie

I'm in my 30s now, but when talking with my friend yesterday, I lied and said I still had the job at that old warehouse. She mentioned an opening there and how it pays a bit more than what I actually make elsewhere... It felt small to lie about something like this, but now I can't shake the guilt. Maybe I should have been honest, or is lying for money just part of being in my shoes today?
