Lonely Nights Away From Home

Went to a party with my partner's blessing and met someone new. We danced close, exchanged numbers. Later that night, we hooked up at his place, both knowing it was just for the moment. It felt freeing but also lonely as I knew I'd have to go back to my empty bed alone later. The next day, guilt mixed with relief over the release from the everyday routine. But mostly, I felt a void where joy used to be.
