.... Teaching and a Student's Crush?

I'm a high school teacher in my late 20s, not really into relationships. One day, this student started writing me notes professing her crush. I tried to be professional but had to deal with her coming onto me... It was uncomfortable and annoying. Was I too harsh pushing her away? Or am I right to keep the line clear from my students?....
