On Call and Hard

Woke up to an emergency call last night, couldn't even catch my breath on the way there. Checked patient vitals, they were stable but needed sedation for a procedure. Administered drugs, took vitals again. While I was at the bedside, noticed something else entirely, my heart racing from adrenaline, blood pumping hard in my veins.
