Unexpected Chemistry

I’m a professor in my fifties and usually I stick to casual dates with a clear boundary. But last night, something strange happened, I felt an unexpected spark with someone new. It was just supposed to be dinner and drinks, but there’s this electric connection that’s hard to ignore. She’s smart, funny, and we clicked like no one else has in years. We ended up cuddling on the couch after, which made me realize how long it’s been since I felt a real chemistry. Is it normal for someone my age to still feel this way? Or am I just being silly?
