Work and Loneliness

I work at a retail store where I spend long hours on my feet, trying to keep up with inventory and customer service. It's been lonely lately; the people around me are either too busy or indifferent. One day after closing, when no one else was there, I found myself experimenting with an old toy from home in a back room. The physical pleasure helped, but it left me feeling even more isolated, as if my own desires were some sort of secret shame.
