another night out

so i was hanging with jen again tonight, she's my long time friend and we've been doing this thing for a while now. just go to clubs and bars together, have some drinks, meet new people, its fun but also kinda weird cos we're both in open relationships. last month at the club, i hooked up with some guy on her couch back at home, she watched us the whole time. weird right? tonight was a bit different tho. we met this guy, max, he's like 30s, really charming and into jen big time. we told him about our arrangement from the start and he seemed fine with it, just wanted to have fun. so i left early cos i felt tired but they kept going and talking for a while. dropped her off at home later. she called me like an hour after that saying she met this amazing guy named max who got into some stuff tonight and really opened up about things in his life. sounded serious, not just casual hookups anymore. she asked if i knew anything about him since he left my place but all i could do was shrug it off cos i wasn't there. its weird because usually when we do this kind of thing its more just for fun and nobody gets too serious or invested beyond that night, but now max seems like hes really trying to pursue something real with her. and honestly id kinda prefer if it stayed casual since i have my own life going on. still feeling giddy about how tonight went though.
