Exploring New Limits with My Partner
Anonymous Wanton Ghost #422 · General
I've been in this relationship for about two years now. We met at a friend's party and hit it off right away. She's always known I'm trans, and we've had some really great times together exploring each other's fantasies. Lately though, something has been gnawing at me. For the past few months, I've felt this urge to experiment with a bit of taboo stuff. Not hardcore kink stuff, just maybe stepping outside our comfort zones in terms of sexual roles and power dynamics. I know she's pretty open-minded, but this idea I had seemed like it might push some boundaries. A couple weeks ago we were fooling around at her place when the moment felt right to broach the subject. 'What if,' I started tentatively, 'what if I wanted you to be in charge for a while? Like me being submissive and you taking control.' It was hard getting the words out, but once they were there it seemed easier. Her reaction surprised me at first; she was silent for what felt like ages before slowly nodding her head. Then she pulled away from me and started pacing around the room, deep in thought. After a while she sat back down next to me and said softly, 'I don't think I'm ready for that. But maybe we can try something else?' She suggested some other activities, dominance through play fighting or light bondage, that sounded good too. That's when I started feeling conflicted. Was this my problem or hers? Did she actually want to explore her limits further, but was nervous about how I would react if things got more intense than we're used to? We ended up having a long conversation and tried out some of the playful stuff she suggested, which felt great. But afterward there's still this part of me that wonders if I pushed too hard or not enough, whether my own desires are aligning with what our relationship is supposed to be about. I guess at heart I just want us to explore together and grow in ways we both feel comfortable with. Still trying to figure out how far the line goes between personal fantasy and respecting each other's limits.
