Got What I Wanted Out of the Divorce Settlement

My marriage was a disaster, and now it's over. It wasn't mutual, but I got what I wanted out of it anyway. The divorce settlement is great, more than I ever thought possible, and my soon-to-be ex-husband knows exactly why. It started when we met, all those years ago. He was older, more experienced, and I fell for his charm fast. But then he married me, thinking he could just keep things as they were, no strings attached. Well, not on my watch. I played along, but inside, I was plotting. Figuring out how to get everything from him that I wanted, money, assets, control, and the only way was through the legal system. So I did. Legal fees aside, it's all mine now and he’s left with nothing. Some people might call me an asshole for doing this, but honestly? It feels good to know he can't keep his secrets from me anymore. The whole divorce process was a game of chess, and I won. He thinks it was just about money, but really, it was much more than that. I knew from the start how this would end, my marriage wasn't built on love, so why should it be built on anything else? It's all mine now because I planned for this moment every step of the way. And you know what? No regrets here.
