Caught in the Moment - Post-Divorce Liberation

So I recently got separated from my wife of eight years. We tried counseling for a while but it just wasn't working out between us, you know? The spark had died off and we both felt like it was time to move on with our lives. She's already seeing someone new, which is great that she's happy again, but I've been struggling with my own desires ever since. I always tried to be the good husband, the supportive partner, but now I feel free to explore other things without guilt or shame. Anyway, I met this girl at a bar last week and we started talking. She was really interesting and fun and I could tell she felt it too - there was an instant connection between us that was undeniable. We exchanged numbers and ended up going back to her place together later that night. The sex was mind-blowing; like nothing I've ever experienced before in my life. I'm not talking about just the physical act, but how connected we were emotionally too. It felt like a release from all the years of pent-up frustration and loneliness. We both knew it wasn't going to be something long-term, but that night was so intense and freeing for me that I found myself thinking about her constantly over the following days. She's a lot younger than I am - in her twenties while I'm late thirties - but she treats me like an equal, not some old husband figure like my ex-wife did at times. It felt really good to just be seen as a person, rather than someone's partner or spouse. So this past weekend we met up again and it was even better the second time around. I'm definitely going to see where things go with her, but also know that this newfound freedom is still very new for me and I'll take my time exploring all the possibilities. I just wanted to get everything off my chest about how amazing this feels - like rediscovering myself as a single man again after so many years of being trapped in a marriage that didn't work out.
