My First Time as Me

So, I've been dating casually since I transitioned, but nothing really exclusive. Yesterday though, this girl, let's call her Jane, I met a few weeks ago, we had dinner and then went back to my place. We were both pretty tipsy by the end of it all. I was so nervous before she came over because I wanted everything to go right. But once we got comfortable, the anxiety kind of melted away. Jane is just...she's beautiful, inside and out, if that makes sense. We talked for a while about nothing in particular, my cat, her job, and then things started getting more intimate. I remember feeling this intense connection as soon as she kissed me deeply and held my face gently between her hands. She was so tender with me, it made all the nerves from earlier melt away into pure anticipation. We moved to the bedroom without saying a word; there wasn't any need for talking anymore. The room felt charged up, like electricity crackling through the air. When we got to my bed and I lay down beside her, she looked at me with these big eyes full of desire and care all mixed together. And that's when it hit me, that this was the first time I was being intimate with someone as who I truly am. Not some fantasy or a role play; just ME. The rest of what happened is kind of a blur, but I think about it over and over again in my head since then. Every detail, the way she whispered my name softly during, how her fingers felt when they moved across me...it was all so special because it wasn't just sex, it was this moment of being seen completely. I guess what I'm trying to say is that sometimes life throws you these moments where everything comes together in a perfect little package. And yesterday with Jane, I got one of those packages. It's such an overwhelming feeling, and it makes me wonder if every encounter can be like this or if it was just the magic of being seen for who I truly am. Anyway, that’s my story. Not sure why I’m telling it really; maybe I needed to write it out to process it all.
