My Transition's Impact on Intimacy
Anonymous Ravenous Siren #888 · General
I recently got separated from my wife after years of marriage. It was a tough decision but ultimately the right one for me to start living as my true self. The process of transitioning and coming out has been incredibly liberating, but it also brought up some complex dynamics with my partner. It's hard to explain exactly what led us to where we are now without getting too graphic, but there were moments when the physical aspects of our relationship became a battleground instead of an expression of love. As I started taking testosterone and embracing masculinity more fully, I felt like I was rediscovering who I am as a man. This new self-discovery sometimes clashed with her expectations or comfort levels. We tried to work through it together, but in the end, we both agreed that our paths had diverged too much. Looking back, there were times when I wished we could have found a way forward, but at the same time, I wouldn't change my journey for anything. Despite everything, I feel stronger and more certain of myself than ever before. Even if it meant the end of one relationship, it opened up possibilities for new chapters in my life that align with who I truly am.
