A Little White Lie At The Coffee Shop

So yesterday, I was at the coffee shop where I meet a few of my casual dates. And there's this one guy who always asks me if I'm studying for any exams or anything. So yesterday, I told him yeah, and that's kind of true because finals are coming up but not right now. But what I really meant is that I've been procrastinating on the reading list for my next class and I was just there to people watch and sip coffee. Then he asked if I needed a pick-me-up study boost and offered me an extra grande latte, which of course I said yes to because why not? Now every time we meet up, he brings it. It's funny how such a small lie led to this little perk. And here's the weird thing, now that there's this fake exam story, I actually have started studying more. Guess you could say my lie backfired but in an unexpectedly positive way. Oh and speaking of dates...I might be seeing another guy next week. I think he's fun too, even if we're not serious yet.
