Lost In The Break Room

I'm usually okay being single, but last week was rough. I walked into our break room for a quick snack and found one of my coworkers there alone. We've always had this unspoken tension between us, but it's never been more clear than that moment when we locked eyes. Without thinking, I leaned in and kissed him. It felt so wrong yet oh-so-right. He kissed back at first, but then pulled away, leaving me standing there, breathless and bewildered. Since then, things feel different between us, awkward, maybe even a little hostile. Not sure how to fix this mess or if I ever should.
