Lied About My Lunch Order

Yesterday at work, I lied about my lunch order to the cafe guy. He asked me what I wanted and I said the usual because it was easy. But in truth, I didn't want another boring salad with chicken. I really wanted the new quinoa bowl they advertised with all sorts of yummy toppings. I hesitated though, worried about calories. So instead of owning up to my desire, I stuck with what felt safe and routine. It made me feel guilty afterward, why couldn't I just be honest? The salad was fine but the guilt lingered.
