So, let's get to the point, I recently broke up with my girlfriend after a year of dating. She wanted something serious but deep down I wasn't sure if that was what I wanted either. Over time, we started playing this game where she’d be this strict authoritarian figure in our relationship, me being her submissive. It was always very clear that it was just roleplaying and nothing more. But now after breaking up with her, I’m realizing the dynamics between us were so heavily skewed toward these roles that maybe our entire relationship was just one big consensual kink fantasy. Was there no real connection outside of those scenes? Am I overthinking this or should I feel differently about the time we spent together?
