Just A Routine Visit

I take care of my wife's biweekly visits to the doctor's office and today was one of those days. The exam room door closed behind her, and a few minutes later, I heard muffled moans that could only mean he was checking on something more intimate than just heart rate or blood pressure. By the time she came out, she had a prescription for 'more frequent follow-ups', both medical and for me at home. Is this common? Should I be concerned?
