A Breakup and Its Consequences ...

I recently broke up with my long-term boyfriend after three years of being together. It was a mutual decision, but it left me feeling lost and unsure about where to go from here. Last night, I found myself at an adult bookstore... just kind of wandering around, looking at things I never would have considered before we were together. There's something strangely comforting about the anonymity of that place. I ended up buying a few items, a leather harness and some handcuffs, and brought them back to my apartment. But when I got home, I didn't feel like using any of it... Just holding onto these things made me think about us again in ways that weren't helpful for moving on. So, tonight, I'm going to take everything down to the river and throw it into the water. Maybe starting fresh will help me move forward without constantly looking back. ...
