another night of roleplay

so i was out on a date with my new boyfriend the other night and we got pretty wild, ended up back at his place for some serious playtime. he’s this guy who likes to push boundaries, and i’m down for that kinda stuff too as long as it’s all consensual and everyone’s into it. but here’s the thing - me and my girlfriend have been in an open relationship for a while now and we’ve established some ground rules. one of them is no taking partners outside of our arrangement, especially not on dates or when you’re actively seeing someone new. i told her this before we started dating, but sometimes it feels like she forgets... so after the date night with my boyfriend, i messaged her to tell her about what happened. i wanted to be upfront and honest about everything since we have an open relationship. but instead of being cool with it, she got all upset and said i broke our agreement by dating someone else while we’re together. which is just not fair because that’s not how things work in an open setup. i didn’t mean for anything to happen, the date night was just about exploring some new kinks and having fun. but now my gf wants me to choose between her and this guy, even though it wasn’t supposed to be like that. i know she’s upset and has every right to feel hurt by this situation, but sometimes these things just happen when you’re in an open relationship. doesn’t mean one person is more important than the other. so now we’re at this weird place where neither of us can back down from our stances. she won’t forgive me for dating my boyfriend, and i’m not going to give up on him either. it’s a mess but honestly - i don’t regret what happened. in an open relationship, you take the good with the bad right? it’s just a hard reality sometimes.
