Caught in a Kink Swap Mishap

So here’s this awkward little situation I found myself in last night. It all started when my girlfriend, Lucy, and I decided to spice up our casual relationship with some playful experimentation. We had talked about trying something different together, but the idea of kinks wasn’t really settling well with me, I’m not really into them, especially not hardcore stuff. Lucy assured me it would be just a fun roleplay and nothing too serious. We settled on what she calls 'kink swapping', basically trading control for an hour or so while we’re at home alone. The plan was to switch off after 30 minutes each, but I hadn’t expected her to take such control over the situation from the start. She set up a room with blindfolds and handcuffs, something I had never imagined us doing together. When it came my turn to ‘lead’, I chickened out. The idea of tying her up and making her do stuff felt way too far for me, and it made me feel pretty inadequate next to Lucy’s enthusiasm. She was disappointed but understood; she suggested we just relax and enjoy each other instead. Then something unexpected happened: a friend of hers stopped by unexpectedly with another guy who was into the same kind of thing. It turned out they were setting up their own kink swap meet at her place, without either of us knowing about it. They invited Lucy to participate, but she said no thanks, she had other plans with me. The awkward part came when the friend’s boyfriend suggested we all do a group session and I was caught in an uncomfortable position of declining while they agreed. The guy gave me this weird look like I was missing out on something great. Lucy just laughed it off, but I could see she wasn’t as amused for me. After that, everyone left except us two, now it’s just back to reality with a lingering sense of discomfort and the feeling that I’m not adventurous enough for these kinds of things. It leaves me wondering if this means the end of our casual relationship, or if there’s more to explore between us.
