It's Not Who We Are Anymore

So, it's been a while since I've felt really connected to my partner, you know? We're still together and all that, but there are these nights where... well, it’s hard to explain. She used to be so open with me, everything was always about exploring and trying new things in the bedroom, like once we even did this roleplay scenario I'd been wanting to try for ages, you know, something a bit taboo but consensual and exciting. We hadn't done that in such a long time though, not since before she started this job where she's always stressed and exhausted. But last night was different. There we were again, me just feeling like I could almost taste how far apart from each other we've gotten. She looked so lost when I suggested something risky, it wasn't even a hard-core thing, just a step up from what we usually do. And yet here she is, pulling away more and more into herself every day. I feel this disconnect building between us and it’s scary because I love her so much. We haven’t talked about why our sex life seems to be fizzling out. Is there something wrong with me? Am I being too needy or pushy when I try to initiate anything new or different? But she's the one who always used to come up with ideas and wanted to keep things fresh... Does anyone else have this issue where suddenly your partner isn't as into it anymore, and you feel like maybe it’s because of something YOU are doing wrong in bed? I know we should talk about all these feelings but... every time she turns me down for something even remotely exciting or different, I just end up feeling more and more alone. It's not okay to give up on trying, right?
