Just Another Day at the Gym? Hardly.

So today I was working with a new client, she's in her mid-thirties. We've been doing this for about two weeks now and I can tell that she's really starting to come into her own physically. Today we were hitting the weights pretty hard, focusing on her back and legs mostly. She always wears these tight spandex shorts that show off every curve. Anyway, we're getting towards the end of our session and she gets down for some reverse lunges. The lighting in the gym is great, so you can really see everything happening under those form-fitting clothes. I'm coaching her through it, telling her to focus on keeping her back straight, knees over ankles, standard stuff. But when I noticed how much her shorts were hugging her ass every time she bent down, that's when things got interesting. She has this way of looking at me from the corner of her eye sometimes during our sessions, kind of like she knows what I'm thinking but isn't sure if it's appropriate. Today she just locked eyes with me while in a lunge position and for some reason, it clicked, there was a very strong sexual tension building up between us. It felt awkward to keep coaching at this point. Then I started thinking about all the other clients who look at me that way from time to time. Is it because of how I dress? My physique? How well we connect during sessions? The tangents start here, as I get lost in thoughts about whether it's something personal or if I'm just reading too much into things. But back to today, eventually the session ended and we went our separate ways. I couldn't stop thinking about her for hours afterward, even though deep down I know it'd never work out due to the professional nature of our relationship. So here's me, trying to make sense of all this newfound tension in my personal life while continuing to help her become healthier and stronger. It's a weird place to be right now.
