A Night at the Clinic

I work as a nurse, still single despite my thirties rolling by, and one night, after a particularly long shift, I found myself in a strange situation with a patient. The line between care and connection blurred, and before I knew it, we were exploring boundaries that shouldn't have been crossed. It was exhilarating but also terrifying, the realization hit me hard that this was both inappropriate and irreversible. Reflecting now, months later, the guilt is still raw, even though intellectually, I understand it was a momentary lapse of judgment in an otherwise professional relationship.
