Ex-Wife's Surprise Visit

So there I was, newly divorced and trying to find my footing. Thought things were pretty much over until out of nowhere, ex-wife shows up at the door unannounced. Said she needed help moving some boxes for her new place, that’s code for 'please take care of me'. Anyway, long story short, I found myself helping her unpack in this awkward silence where neither of us knew what to say or do. And there she was, undressing for work as if we hadn’t just ended a marriage, with a body that still has my attention. I couldn't stop staring at the way her clothes fell off and how naturally it all looked. It was like everything old and new just blended together in this moment of pure tension and mutual discomfort. I didn't expect to feel anything anymore but there it was, all the old desire mixed with the realization that we were both here for different reasons now.
