A Slippery Slope of Emotions

I've been with my partner for almost five years now, since right after grad school. We were so young, so in love, but somehow we're still together and it's good...most days anyway. But there was this moment last summer when everything felt suffocatingly normal and I wanted something different.... It happened at a conference we both attended, I had to give a presentation on my work while she networked with potential clients. One of the attendees, some older guy who seemed like he'd seen it all...he made me feel so desired in ways I've never experienced before. We ended up meeting for coffee and talking long into the night. It wasn't just about the work stuff, it was emotional too. There were no lines crossed physically; we both kept things professional. But there's this lingering feeling since then that will probably never be resolved...
