Late Shift Encounters

I was working the late shift at the bookstore last week when this gorgeous woman walked in around midnight. She had the kind of beauty that made my heart race and my palms sweat. She browsed for a while, picked up some poetry books, then came over to where I was checking out another customer. We started talking about the books she'd chosen, and it quickly turned into an intense flirtation. There were some other customers around, but we managed to exchange numbers without anyone noticing. By the time I finished my shift, I had a date set for Saturday night with this woman who seemed as interested in me as I was in her. It felt like forever until Saturday came, and she showed up at 8 PM looking even more stunning than before. We spent the evening talking and getting to know each other better. It ended up being one of the best nights of my life, romantic and intimate without crossing any lines we weren't both ready for yet. Just thinking about it now makes me feel giddy with excitement.
