A Small Lie

I told my ex-wife that I was working late every Thursday to catch up on clinic paperwork, but really I was having lunch with a colleague from the hospital who I have feelings for. It's such a small thing in the grand scheme of things, just an hour or two away once a week, yet it feels like a betrayal all the same. Why am I hiding this? What does it mean about how much I’ve moved on?
