A Night of Unexpected Pleasure

I never would have guessed my life in this military town would lead me to something like this. A few weeks ago, a friend set me up on what she called a 'friends with benefits' date with someone named Alex, who's 18+. He was a bit younger than I am and very charming. We had dinner at a local bistro, and as the night wore on, the conversation flowed naturally to more intimate topics. After dessert, we went for drinks nearby, and by then, we were both pretty relaxed and open. When he suggested going back to his place to continue our chat over some coffee, I hesitated but ended up saying yes. The night turned into something much hotter than either of us expected. We laughed a lot as the tension built, and when we finally kissed goodnight at his doorstep, it was with more electricity than any other kiss I've had in ages. I spent the rest of the night tossing and turning, wondering if he felt the same spark that surged through me, or if it would just fade like a fling. The next morning, my phone buzzed with his message about wanting to do it again sometime soon, but I'm not sure where this is going to lead. It's all so sudden and intense, and now every time we meet for coffee, the conversation leads me right back there on that edge.
