He Doesn't Want Me Anymore

I started working at this grocery store last year and met my boyfriend there. We've been together ever since. It's just us now, no roommates or parents to worry about. But lately, I feel like something’s off with him. He avoids me in the evenings when we’re both clocked in, and if I go over to his place after work, it feels like a chore for him. One night, he called me out of nowhere, asking if I could come home because he was stressed about a big project at work. As soon as I got there, he pulled me into the bedroom. But instead of talking things out, he pinned me down and started kissing my neck, which used to make me melt every time. Now it just made me feel uncomfortable. I tried to pull back and talk things through but he didn’t want to hear it. He was all over me, grinding against me on the bed. I knew what he wanted, his hands were everywhere, undoing my pants with shaking fingers. 'Please, baby,' he kept whispering, his voice cracking. But I wasn't feeling him like this anymore. I pushed him away and told him no, that we needed to talk first. He looked at me with a mix of desperation and anger but started talking about how much pressure he was under at work. The more he talked, the less interested I became in what he had to say. His touch felt like too much, his kisses were suffocating. I suggested we take things slow for now, try counseling or something. But all he could hear was that I wasn’t into him anymore. He started getting physical again, touching me roughly, trying to force himself on me even when I said stop. 'No,' I repeated over and over until his hands finally dropped. I left the house feeling like a stranger in my own skin. I didn't know what was going to happen next but something had changed between us, something irrevocable. And that made me feel scared more than anything else.
