A Petty Lie About Coffee

I recently lied to my boss about a coffee order. We have this office-wide system where you submit your requests for the week and they get delivered on Monday morning. One Tuesday, I woke up late and realized I had no coffee at home. Desperate for caffeine, I went into work early but didn't want to admit that I hadn’t ordered any last week. So, I told my boss there was a mix-up with my order from the previous Wednesday and it never arrived. The lie felt trivial, yet it lingered in my mind all day like an unnecessary burden.
