My Kink Experiment Felt Slightly Unsettling

I'm a grad student in psychology and have always been curious about kinks that are outside my usual comfort zone. Recently, I decided to experiment with the idea of a dominant partner playing out an authoritarian roleplay scenario, something I've read about but never tried before. My partner agreed reluctantly, mainly out of curiosity and understanding it was a consensual exploration. It felt oddly detached from our normal dynamic; there was no emotional connection or spark usually present during intimate moments.
