Playing The Odds

So here I am, single again after the split from husband of many years. Recently got together with this guy at a friend's barbeque, handsome, older, kind eyes that seem to see right through my armor. It was just one night but it felt huge in a way you can't explain. People say things start small and grow into something big; maybe I’m testing the waters to see if there’s really room for two when you've just lost your castle? Don’t laugh, tell me I’m silly or that this is normal, does every heartache come with a secret fling as rebound therapy?
